Juan Pablo tells People Magazine that Bachelor Contestant, Clare Crawley’s Reaction to his rejection was childish and disappointing.

It may not seem like it, but I truly don’t want to give this guy any more publicity than he already has. I keep intending to leave this story, I really do. I guess I’m just still that damn mad about the whole thing. There’s that, coupled with more information slowly coming out that must not be ignored.

If you watched this season of “The Bachelor” staring latin lover, Juan Pablo something or another, you know what went down with him and Clare Crawley. Piecing together the whole picture truly makes Juan Pablo a despicable human being and I will tell you why.

Very early on in the season, Clare snuck off and went to Juan Pablo’s suite to ask him to swim with her in the ocean – “a bucket list item”, she said. Now, by no means, do I mean to paint Clare as an innocent victim here. That said, like so many women, my guess is that she thought if she could get him to have sex with her, he would fall in love with her. Don’t dismiss this theory. Ladies, back me up here. Plenty of women have used this tactic. Some successful, some not. In general, it’s not recommended.

         

We know they were alone several times after that night, throughout the entire season and now we know why. In fact, Clare made it all the way to the final two. Juan Pablo answered Clare’s question, “Just tell me you love me”, his response, “I love f*ing you but I don’t know you”.

What does all of this add up to?

It’s not pretty. Not pretty at all. It’s very clear from the 2nd part of his comment, the “I don’t know you” part, that their time together was spent getting physical.  Juan Pablo is a bigger dbag than we ever realized. He kept Clare around to have a “piece on the side” while he dated the other women. Essentially, he objectified Clare from the get go and never took her feelings in to account. Clare even called him on it the night before the final rose. She told him point blank, “if this is just a physical thing, tell me now and I’m out of here”. He assured her that, “no, you’re special to me, that is why you are here”.

Any man, with any shred of empathy would have owned up. Juan Pablo did not. He used Clare for sex and told her as much. Then lied to her to keep her there so he could publicly reject and humiliate her on national television.

I seriously just threw up a little in my mouth. Why? Because of this comment Juan Pablo made to People Magazine:

“She was expecting me to propose, I get it, but you don’t have to come at me like that,” he says. “It was childish. She disappointed me.”

Juan Pablo used Clare and set her up and she’s the childish, disappointing one??? No woman wants a man capable of this kind of manipulation. Nikki, don’t say you haven’t been warned.

The Bachelor’s Juan Pablo: A Jerk on the Show and A Jerk in Real Life.

The story just keeps getting worse for this guy. Now that everything is over and “the cat is out of the bag” so to speak, The Bachelor’s Juan Pablo is behaving like a petulant child at best, and an outright jerk at worst. This guy is unbelievable! Never, in the history of the show, has there been someone so non-appreciative of the opportunity that was given to him. The same opportunity, incidentally, that allowed him to meet his love?, Nikki Ferrell.

It was clear during his interview with the show’s host, Chris Harrison, that Juan Pablo had no intention of cooperating in any way. I don’t believe he actually directly answered anything Chris asked him. It’s not surprising that Chris was getting visibly annoyed. In the end, he literally gave up. There truly was nothing more he could do. Unfortunately, Juan Pablo didn’t stop there.

In interviews since, Chris stated that Juan Pablo was frustrating to work with throughout the entire season. Juan Pablo was not interested in following the rules of the show and made the entire process difficult for all of those involved in producing the show.

Part of the job of the Bachelor or Bachelorette is to do the talk show circuit once the show is completed. Juan Pablo showed us that once again, he just doesn’t care. This guy could not even be bothered to show up for his interview on “Good Morning America” the day after the finale!

JP’s twitter posts have been odd to say the least. Most make little to no sense at all. One follower suggested, “Next time someone interviews you, speak your own language so you won’t be misunderstood, let them use google translator.” Probably a good idea because he later tweeted: “Having a PRIVATE relationship doesn’t mean we CAN’T post or say what WE want instead of what SOMEONE ELSE WANTS…”. Um…what?

The press, unable to contact Juan Pablo, have reached out to some of his relatives and friends. The basic message they received has been the same:

“Juan is so angry with the Bachelor production team,” a source tells “US Weekly” of the vilified reality star. He’s been peeved ever since Bachelor wrapped shooting four months ago, in fact. “He’s had major tension with them since right when he got back from filming,” the insider explains. “Juan thought they gave him no privacy and wanted to know too much about his personal life and what he was doing all the time.”

Ok. You have GOT to be kidding! I think we all know Juan Pablo had plenty of privacy, at least enough to do things he would “offensively” speak of in the final episode to runner-up, Clare Crawley.

AND

I’ve got news for Juan Pablo.  Revealing yourself is part of the gig. On second thought, this cannot be news to him because this is not his first rodeo. He was on “The Bachelorette” last season! Revealing himself would include details of his personal life and what he does the whole time he was on the show!

It is becoming crystal clear to me that this man decided a long time ago, he was doing us all a favor by being “The Bachelor”. I believe he truly felt, and still feels, that we were lucky to get what we got, and we will get nothing else.

The Bachelor 2014’s Stand-Out Competitors: Where are they now?

It’s still early days for a “where are they now” piece. But I’ve learned so much by researching these fascinating women. One thing I would like to say is kudos to “The Bachelor” producers for choosing women who were not only beautiful, but who also are intelligent, talented and well spoken.

This blog is to celebrate the stand out women of “The Bachelor 2014”. Because of this and because we already know way more than we want to about the bachelor himself, he will NOT be mentioned here at all.

As I studied these women, I realized that, “wow” these women are all women of substance. It’s such a shame they were contestants on this season of the show. As it was such a train wreck, maybe they will be invited back on another season? Well, one can hope.

These are in no particular order. I did as much research as I could about the following ladies, though, I’m sure we will learn more in the days to come. So what are the “stand out” contestants doing now that the Bachelor has officially wrapped (besides breathing a collective sigh of relief, that is.)

Renee’ Orteri

The biggest news to come out so far is from Renee. She is officially engaged! There are pics online of her husband-to-be but not much is known about this mystery man. In any case, congratulations Renee’!

Clare Crawley:

The runner-up, many people are saying Clare “dodged the bullet”. I absolutely disagree. Unfortunately, the entire country knows she had sex with JP at least once (the ocean) and possibly twice (his hotel suite). That said, “She’s totally over him,” the source close to the 32-year-old Sacramento hairstylist said. “She is done with him and relieved that they are not together.” The moral here ladies, don’t give it away too soon. And then expect respect. It doesn’t work that way.

Kat Hurd

I watched a 30 minute interview with this Arizona beauty. Something “The Bachelor” neglected to show about Kat is that she is very intelligent, thoughtful and is a born leader. She’s currently working with some of the other contestants to organize various fund-raisers. Kat has used this season of “The Bachelor” to raise more than $10,000 for breast cancer and leukemia research. Kat was also President of her sorority during college. That’s a big job. She hopes to continue, with several other contestants, as a philanthropist. Kat says she has dated some, but is still single.

Cassie Ferguson

Cassandra Ferguson The 5’10” 22 year old, former Detroit Pistons dancer has a 2-year-old son. The father of her baby is Rodney Stuckey. Rodney is a basketball player for the Detroit Pistons. Cassandra is an “old soul”. She had to grow up fast to take on her role as a mother. She’s going to be juuust fine.

Sharleen Joynt

Sharleen is not only beautiful, she is intelligent, worldly and is a very talented opera singer. Since her departure from the show, she traveled to Canada to do a fundraiser. In April 2014, Sharleen will be performing with The Metropolitan Opera during several April performances in New York. Get your tickets now!.

Andi Dorfman

Everyone saw this coming and I am so happy you all were correct! Andi has, (at least for now) left her profession to become “The Bachelorette”! If you watched this season of the bachelor, you saw that she would be perfect in this role. She is drop dead gorgeous (no career pun intended), very intelligent and super excited to find love. With the show beginning to air in May, filming will begin almost immediately. Congrats Andi!

Nikki Ferrell

As you all are aware, Nikki is the “winner” of The Bachelor. What she actually won is still unclear, other than a final rose. No ring, no promises, no proclamations of love. Nikki is an intelligent beauty who is still waiting to hear those 3 little words, “I love you”.  I honestly hope she has an ulterior motive. The longer she stays, the more ammo she has for a “Tell All” book? One can hope…for her sake.

Welcome to Juan Pablo’s School of Morals.

Last night’s aired episode of “The Bachelor” exposed Juan Pablo Gavalis in more ways than one.

“I want to kiss Renee but she has an 8 year old son and he will see this…blah blah ….a kiss tonight is not going to happen”. At this point, we had  already seen the “watch what happens tonight” footage. In one scene, he looks like he’s about to swallow the house slut, Claire. Big problem. Not only did all of the other women see it, but so will, unfortunately, his daughter. And it didn’t stop there. Far from it.

During his one-on one time with the ladies during the group date, Juan Pablo made out with several of the unsuspecting women. When it was Claire’s one-on-one time, Juan Pablo took her to his suite. Camera’s did not follow them in...Later that night, Claire tip-toed to his suite and the two went for a midnight swim. Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

We are starting to see exactly why Juan Pablo is single. He clearly is struggling with which head he is thinking from. There. I said it.

Now to poor, disillusioned Claire. She was flying high at the beginning of the cocktail party the next night. She made a group toast that went something like, “Cheers to looking for love, finding love, having love and making love”. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. It was an appropriate toast though, as they apparently had sex in the ocean. That’s got to be a Bachelor first, this early on.

I doubt that’s the toast she would have made had she known what was coming.

The highly moraled Juan Pablo pulled her aside and told her their interlude was a mistake. He stated he wanted to be “fair”. (I would love to know what his definition of “fair” is) and then noted his fall back excuse, “my daughter will see that”. At first, Claire played the victim but then was annoyed that he was remorseful.  Let me clarify that statement. She played the victim with Juan Pablo, water works and all. However, to the camera, she was annoyed in an “it takes two to tango” kind of way.

BUT…

Was it enough for her to throw her rose in his face and walk off the show??? Nope. She stood there at the rose ceremony, rose in hand, and watched three other ladies get sent packing. It seems the moral train missed out on ole Claire as well.

Having high morals is an admirable character trait. But you, Juan Player, I mean Juan Pablo, obviously and quite publicly showed the world you don’t have them. It’s become clear that you are using your daughter, as well as other ladies children, to attempt to trick the ladies and the viewers into believing that you have some kind of conscience.

Dude, you can’t have it both ways. Morals based on each woman? Please, give me a break.

Why would any woman (these on the show or any other) want a man who is serious with some, while playing with others? Claire apparently does not have a problem with it. Could they be a match made in…Vietnam?

Time will tell.

The Bachelor’s Juan Pablo – A Miami girls point of view.

Juan Pablo…Juan Pablo….An entire nation of women fell in love with him after his time on Desiree Hartsock’s season of “The Bachelorette”. He was a shoe-in for this season of “The Bachelor”. What’s not to love? Look at him! And he has a beautiful little girl who he adores.

Here’s the thing. I don’t love him. I’m not even sure I like him. Shock! Horror! I know, I know.

I’m a Miami transplant from South Carolina. Culture shock? Another blog, another day. One of the great things about Miami is the cultural vibe down here. I have been told by many South American’s and Cuban’s that there are more of “them” down here than “me”. They are not lying. I know many Latino’s and am proud to call them friends.

What I am getting at here is that there are men like Juan Pablo everywhere in Miami. Super hot, nicely tanned, soccer loving guys with that accent women want ear whispers from. What then, separates Juan Pablo from all of the others? Not much. They are very family oriented. Family comes first in their lives (a lesson, incidentally, we could learn from them). They are chasing the American dream. They are hard working, proud and thankful people. They are passionate people.

The one attribute I can see in Juan Pablo that I admire is his love for his daughter and his “hands on” parenting style. That’s not a small thing, it’s HUGE. Who doesn’t love a man who genuinely loves his children and makes them a priority in their lives? His looks aside, this is probably the #1 thing women love the most about this man.

On last night’s episode, he reiterated his love for his child by putting a “kissing ban” on the night’s group date. He stated, “I don’t want my daughter seeing me kiss all of these women on TV. I have already kissed 6 women on TV”. He went on to point out that he really wanted to get to know the ladies on a deeper level and be a positive role model for his young daughter.  Admirable. I was back on board.

Yeah, it was short lived.

He told several ladies, two of which he sent home, that he wanted to wait on the kiss. Great! Good for you JP! And then there was Clare. What could he do??? After all, he “couldn’t resist himself”!!! “Those lips, those teeth” and the smooch fest commenced… Ugh. Blah. Not only did he send mixed signals to the ladies, but did the same to his daughter.

So far, Juan Pablo has shown us that he is a fun loving guy. He loves adventure and loves women but I see absolutely no depth to this man at all.  So ladies, if you are looking for a man like Juan Pablo, who actually has some depth, please come on down to Miami. You will be pleasantly surprised.
