Dear Dedicated Followers

I definitely spent more time looking through tons of images that encompass the followers to my blog than I did actually writing this blog.. First, I came up with this one:

But I immediately thought, “BORING”. We may be a lot of things, but boring, we are not. So, I continued my search. I considered zombies, but then I remembered I’m an adult. So I stopped looking and started thinking. What do the followers of my blog represent to me? Then it hit me!

Diamonds! While I may not know you personally, I know that I appreciate each and every one of you. Just as no two people are the alike, the same is true for diamonds. Beautiful, interesting, complex and admirable. Diamonds. The perfect way to describe my blog followers and guests.

I touched on it briefly a couple of days ago, that I have been in hospital. I am home today but, as you can imagine, I’m a gigantic, hot mess! Even so, I still wanted to send you something brief to explain the irregularity of my posts. I also want to convey to you how much I admire and appreciate you sticking with me.

Look for more posts coming soon. Funny stuff to share with you!

Talk to you soon! xoxo

Y’all…I’m in the hospital.

Greetings from the hospital! I came into the ER last night with a  laundry list of symptoms. Having a general distrust in doctors anyway, I like to have a pretty good idea of what I had. I read up online before even going to talk a doctor. (I like using the Mayo Clinic website.) In this case, however, I was way off.

The doc has decided I need to be observed until at least Friday. In the meantime, I truly feel like shit. That, along with the fact that I must focus on getting better. I’m literally falling asleep typing this to you.

I just did not want you to think I had disappeared on you. As soon as I improve, I will be back raring to go.

Happy April Everyone!

Talk to you soon! xoxo

Greetings from the sick house

Hey y’all. First of all, I miss you. Second of all, everyone in my house is really sick, including me.

I had no idea how hard it would be to write a blog while sick. Today is the first day I’ve even attempted it. I hate that. I’ve made a commitment to you and to me to write everyday, except the weekends. But, let me tell ya, being sick zaps the creativity and motivation right out of you. Just trying to survive is #1 when you’re sick and everything else goes out the window. If you don’t believe me, you should see my house. Seriously, it looks like it’s been picked up, turned upside down, shook 3 times, then set back down.

On second thought, do not come to my house. I promise I will not answer the door. Trust me, it’s for your own good.

I’m not a good sick person. I’m short-tempered. But the worst thing is that when I’m sick, I cry… a lot. And that makes everything worse. Things swell up, it’s harder to breathe which makes it harder to sleep and I hate to cry.

I mean, look, I realize nobody likes to be sick. It’s not fun for anybody. For me, though, my life literally stops and all focus is on being sick. Sick sick sick.

Am I making you feel sick yet? YEP.

Now you understand why I haven’t written. I’m about to be done, just stick with me for a minute more. I do have some cool stuff to write about this week. As soon as I am able, I will get started. Who knows, I may even retract my statement from last week and write about the RHOA. I will also continue my blog series, “Letters from Russia”. Peeps, pay attention to this situation in the meantime. And who knows what else I’ll think of to write about. The good news is that I never run out of ideas. Writing prompts? No thanks. My brain is so full of useless and not-so-useless information and stories.

But, for now, I am sick. I hope you all had a super, fantastic weekend. I’m assuming it’s warming up in other parts of the country.

Talk to you soon! xoxo

Blog Series: Letters from Russia – Introduction

Chat

Does anyone remember this video? It was so long ago…17 years old in fact. I remember seeing it live and when I need a giggle, or a warm fuzzy, I still keep this video at hand. Take a look.

Things are so different now.

With all that has transpired in Russia recently, many news outlets have been reporting daily with updates. Russia vs. Ukraine with Crimea being the prize, has taken center stage as a worldwide concern. I know that many people here, in the USA do not particularly care about the activities in that region of the world right now. But it is important.

I have always said our nation’s security is our #1 issue because without it, nothing else matters. With this in mind, I have made it my business to read and study about the current situation regarding Russia, as well as its history. I have learned a lot. My greatest resource has not been from watching the news or reading the paper.

My understanding of Russia has come to me quite by chance and it nearly did not happen at all. I commented on an article I read in social media, and someone replied, challenging my statement. She was quite snippy with her remark and I answered back equally snippy. I wondered who this person was and realized she was from and still lived in Russia.

In an instant, it occurred to me, with the power of internet and social media, we can connect to the world like never before. Couple that, with watching our governments continually clashing, why not then, should the people attempt to bridge the gap between us? Even if it is only one person at a time,

After all, ignorance leads to fear. Just as education leads to understanding. Fear + ego = global unrest. We are seeing this over and over again, all over the world.

So, even though she and I were a bit snotty to one another at first, I asked her if we could talk further. I wanted to know her story and, as it turns out she wanted to know mine. We have become fast friends. She is a lovely young lady. She is well-educated. She is curious. She wants to know the truth and has no problem expressing herself. Though we have only known each other a short time, I have grown to care deeply for her and applaud her for entertaining opinions that differ so much for her own. We talk daily and they are good, productive conversations.

I know I will probably never get the opportunity to meet her face-to-face. But that does not mean our friendship is any less. It is incredibly interesting and sometimes a little sad that her opinions are so strong. But she is open. She’s no dummy. In fact, she’s really wonderful.

She and I will continue to talk. We will ask questions of each other and offer opinions. With her consent, I will share much of our conversations with you via my blog. Her only condition was that I not report Russia in a negative light. I also assured her that I would not divulge her identity. I would be crushed if our friendship ended because of this. Plus, I must make sure I keep her safe.

And so, I will be writing a blog series titled, “Letters from Russia”. Each conversation/blog will be numbered, much like a book. Consider this blog entry as the introduction to the “book”. Following this will be Chapter 1, then Chapter 2…you get the idea. What you will see is the genuine dedication of two friends learning and understanding each others world.  You will have a better understanding of both of us as the story unfolds.

PLEASE: If there is anything specific you would like me to ask her, just add it to the comments.

This will not be the only subject I will be writing about. I will continue to write about the same types of things I have blogged about in the past. I’m thinking I will write this blog series once a week, depending upon your interest. I really hope that even if you feel this would not be the right blog for you to follow, just give it a chance. We cannot fix our governments, but we can help each other to a better understanding. Hopefully it will be contagious.

Stay tuned for Chapter One, “Letters From Russia” very soon.

Enjoy your weekend! xoxo

Here’s me:                       Here’s How I Feel! (And it’s good)

Things are happening. Great things. And by that, I mean people are talking. They are opening up, giving their opinions, asking questions, discussing (ok, sometimes arguing)…the point is, dialogue is happening.

It’s so wonderful and so eye-opening! Dialogue is how people come together. All people from all countries are welcome here. We will all benefit from honest conversations. Different perspectives, different ways of life give people different beliefs, whether we agree or not.

It is primarily happening on twitter (click the twitter button in the bottom left margin if you would like to follow me)If, for some reason, it doesn’t work, you can find me by doing a search: I am @kazroxx. I always follow back…well, unless it is a creepy psycho person, then sorry, no. LOL

My friends on Twitter and Facebook: If you would like to follow my blog but you aren’t a blogger with WordPress, please subscribe from my site. All you do is enter your email address and my blogs will be sent directly to your email. You can comment on the blog directly that way. I generally blog Monday – Friday. I try not to blog on weekends, but sometimes, I just cannot help myself.

I quote opinions but I don’t include who said it unless I’ve been told I can do so. Sooo, if you want me to give you credit, please let me know.

I appreciate the suggestions I have received so far about topics to discuss. They are all great ideas and I promise I will get to all of them. Keep the ideas coming!

I want to close by saying a HUGE Thank you!!! Over the last week, viewers of my blog have quadrupled in number and I’m so blown away!

Today’s official blog, by popular demand is going to be, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Part 2. Look for it in a few hours.

Talk to you again soon! xoxo

Thank you SO much!
